October Gave A Party- by George Cooper

October gave a party,

the leaves by hundreds came-

the chestnuts, oaks, and maples,

their costumes all aflame.

Miss Weather led the dancing,

Professor Wind the band,

The guests were all aflutter,

and danced off hand in hand.

What a great poem with such joyful imagery for what could actually seem a sad time of year. Thanks for sharing this!

(Finally, blogger wouldn't let me comment yesterday)I almost posted this poem myself a few weeks ago!
I also wanted say a fashionably late happy birthday, and do you not LOVE your Kitchenaid? Mine is probably my most favorite wedding gift.

YES! Well... I haven't actually used it yet, but just knowing it's there gives me chills ;)
