Closet Monsters...

Last night, after hours of grueling labor, I came to the realization that Elon has too many clothes! Eleven, yes, 11 vests, 7 pairs of khakis, 10 pairs of black and blue dress pants-- this calls for some serious clothes reduction! I packed up 1 garbage bag full of giveaways, 1 box of smallish clothes, and 1 box of biggish clothes {aka clothes that are either a little too small or a little too big}. I also organized his drawers and toys and changed the sheets in his crib. It looks so much neater in there now! Hmmm, what to do with all those stuffed animals!

If you figure out a good animal solution, let me know. I put the kabash on any new ones. They don't really get played with, and are dumped in a laundry basket for the moment.

Hey, I ran across your blog link through Judith's (we went to high school together). I enjoy following some of her friends' blogs that seem so interesting :-). Nice to meet you in the blog world!! In our area, many fire departments or police departments collect new or slightly used stuffed animals to give to children after a fire or other similarly traumatic event--it might be worth checking out :-) I've donated some of my girls' stuffed toys to these venues in the past.
Happy cleaning/organizing

Hi Danelle, thanks for visiting. That's a good idea about the stuffed animals. I'll have to look into it further. You may have read in my blog that I'm a Carolinian too!
