The Little Princess...

On Thursday night I received a call to pick up the Little Princess from a nearby police station. Curly brown hair with blond streaks, she came only with the clothes on her back and a blanket and bear she had received from the station. Stamped upon my "forever memory" is a picture of Nathan framed by the doorway and holding a little girl with a tousled mane of unruly curls, blue blanket trailing.

I am so thankful to be a part of this little girl's life, even if only for a short while. She is the Little Princess because at night whenever she is scared, I tell her that God is going to give her "princess dreams." I pray that when she leaves my home she will remember that God has made her royalty. May her days be as beautiful and blessed as her "princess dreams."

~But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light.~

1 Peter 2:9

What a wonderful opportunity you've been given! I love the idea of princess dreams. I can only imagine how much richer and sweeter her life will be because of the love you and your family have been/will be showing her!

Himilce,

What a precious post! I am sad that I am far behind in reading this post!. Some how reading it just adds to the flavor! I can't wait to see this little sweetie. I am really struggling with being so far from my precious grandbabies and all my grown kids. Post us a picture of the little cupcake ok? Also, I wanted to thank you for all the baby clothes you sent out to Elizabeth; so generous and sweet. We miss you guys so much Himilce.
