Christmas Party

Wow, this has been a very busy week. Between hospital visits and parties I am wiped out! On Monday, I had my cookie exchange. It was so much fun. Every lady brought an hors d'oeuvres so there was lots of delicious food to eat. I made the main course which was pumpkin soup and chicken salad sandwiches. For desert, my friend made her famous pumpkin roll which we ate while drinking coffee and enjoying the fellowship of other women.

I had a really pretty table set with last year's clearanced Martha Stewart Holiday Traditions line. And wouldn't you know it... all that hard work and I forgot to take a picture! The table was set in burgundy, with burgundy table cloth, and place mats, burgundy and gold napkins with gold napkin rings, topped with white plates with gold accents... I even pulled out my mini salt and pepper shakers (and boy are those things a headache to fill!)

Afterwards we made a cute Christmas craft and cleaned up. Although it was a lot of work, it was well worth it! I hope to do something similar next year.
