Though He Slay Me, Yet Will I Trust in Him...

This morning I miscarried. Although I am disappointed, I know that I am still in the palm of my Father's hand and that He is always merciful and just.

But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
-1 Thessalonians 4:13-16

Honey I am so sorry. I lost a baby last year, and even though I didn't realize at the time I was pregnant, it was still not an easy time. I kept singing Matt Redmonds Blessed be the Name of The Lord song over and over, and it helped me alot. I will be praying for you as you process all this. Maybe our babies are playing together even now at Jesus' feet! Much love and hugs (and tears from someone who's been there)

Oh...I'm so sorry that you are going through this! Like Mrs. Bonnie, I can relate to you; but I know I can't take away your pain. I only wish I could share it in some way to make it easier for you. Sending love and prayers your way...

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. We've lost 3 little ones - one at 18 weeks (we did get to hold him :) and twins at 12 weeks.

There is a song by Kathryn Scott (Blessed be Your Name) - that really meant the world to us when we lost our first. Despite the way things turned out - and definitely not the way we had planned, our hearts still have a choice in how we respond to it all - "my heart will choose to say - Lord, blessed be your name."

I am sure there are going to be difficult times and moments in the coming months and years, but push into God always. He never leaves you, always loves you and understands the loss of a child too. :)

We've had 2 other little ones since our losses - and while they never "replace" the ones we lost, I certainly can't imagine life without them either. And someday, we will fully meet our other three. That is just an amazing thought to me!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your husband right now.

Jolanthe,
I'm very sorry about your sweet babies. To say that it must have been difficult is an understatement. Thank you for your kind words.
