Hunting Season Has Begun...

Job hunting, that is. Some of you may remember my previous post entitled 30 Day Notice. I think one of the biggest problems is fighting the fear that it could happen again. Even though in the end everything turned out right, I can't bear the thought of having to experience that again. Fear rears it's ugly head and I literally have to tell it I won't accept that worry.

I've also considered that everytime I experience one of these crisis, I really turn to God. Through this whole moving process, and even when I got here, I've been very neglectful of my time with God. I just hope that He doesn't have to allow me to walk through something like financial crisis to wake me up. I'm awake God, I promise!

One good thing did come out of this experience: working full time while virtually being a "single parent" is just too draining. I honestly don't know how some single moms do it. I have a new respect for them. I really want to be able to help out with some street ministry here at the church and am hoping that a part-time position will allow me to have more energy and time to participate.

I know that jobs are plentiful for someone who isn't still trying to keep their child with them. It's not as easy to find a job that will allow you to bring your child to work! I'd REALLY appreciate your prayers. Maybe you could pray that my family won't go into debt while trying to find a position, and that God would provide the RIGHT position for me. Thank you all so much for caring, it means a lot to me.

I'm praying for you. I have a couple of suggestions. You may try mamasource.com. It's a blog for moms in your area who have questions on all sorts of topics. I've seen moms ask about childcare, but you can ask if they have any suggestions on jobs in your area that allow you to take your child. It is specific to your area, so it's all local info. You might also try lifechurch.tv. This is the church we attend and they have a campus in Mesa, AZ. They post jobs and you can also send them your resume if you don't see any that match. Sorry so long. Hope it helps!

I will pray for you. I know you're in a tough position. Keep being open and clinging to God, and I'm positive you'll see His hand working! Maybe not in YOUR timing though... ;)
