Keeping Up To Date...

I'm back from NC, and after suffering a miserable stomach virus, I'm back to posting as well. My grandpa is doing, well, about as good as can be expected. He cries a lot. He says he's going to miss his grandchildren. I think he is coming to terms with the fact that he is dying, never mind that all of us are dying... some just faster than others. One really good thing happened, the doc said that he could have liquid! This was really great news because his mouth and throat were so extremely dry. As an added benefit, he'll actually get to use his taste buds again. If any of you have ever fasted, you know how difficult it is to get your mind off of the taste of food. You aren't necessarily hungry, just obsessed with the thought of food. And my poor grandfather didn't even get a warning whenever all food was stripped from him. As far as the hat goes, I'll post later whenever I can get some pics loaded.

It's so weird, it seems like everyone I know is having "issues" right now... sickness, disease, unemployment... wow, it's like we're under attack. The good thing is that these sufferings usually do make us seek God all the more. Still, I am praying that they all GO AWAY!

I have another interview on Tuesday, this one for a mother of two girls who wants a babysitter from 8am-12:00pm. I'm really excited about this one, especially since I'd be working in my own home. Elon does so much better when there are other children to divert his attention!

I'll post again tomorrow, but meanwhile, all of you experienced parents, get your parenting books ready... I need some advice. More on that later!

I'm glad you posted! I had been wondering how things were going...

I know what you mean about fasting and being obsessed with the taste of food. There's nothing like denial to make me crave something!

I'm so happy that you got to have this time with your grandfather.

I'm glad you're back, but sorry to hear you've been so sick!
the new sitting position sounds great, I'll be praying everything goes well.
Parenting advice huh? aren't you glad the Lord places around us those we can come to with a problem?
