My Concerns:

I am very concerned about the upcoming election. Particularly because our next president will probably have the ability to nominate 2-4 supreme court justices. Of course we have seen the power these judges have on America, even to the point of creating legislature! It is imperative that justices are chosen who hold high moral standards that conform to the parameters of the constitution! If Obama is voted in as president, we know with almost absolute certainty that he will vote in liberals whose views reflect his own. Some of Obama's recent decisions:

As a state senator in Illinois, Obama voted four times in three years against legislation that would have saved the lives of babies that managed to survive the abortion process. The U.S. Senate subsequently passed similar legislation called The Born Alive Infant Protection Act by unanimous consent. (Obama was not a U.S. Senator at the time.)

State Senator Obama was chairman of the committee that opposed this protection of babies, and in 2001 and 2002 was the only legislator who rose to argue against the Illinois Born Alive Act.

He has promised that "the first thing I'd do as president" would be to sign the Freedom of Choice Act. The FOCA is a devastating piece of legislation that would overturn nearly every local, state, and federal anti-abortion law passed in the last 40 years. In fact, it's so broadly written that legal analysts suggest the bill may prevent institutions and physicians from refusing to provide abortion services by invoking the conscience clause.

Earlier this year, while talking about sex education and abortion, the Senator said the following: "I've got two daughters, 9 years old and 6 years old. I am going to teach them first of all about values and morals. But if they make a mistake, I don't want them punished with a baby." In other words, a pre-born baby is viewed as a form of punishment, and can therefore be murdered in the name of convenience.

While the National Journal ranked Obama the most liberal Senator last year, Senator Biden was ranked 3rd on their list--just ahead of Vermont's Bernie Sanders, a self-avowed socialist. While the Senator of 36 years from Delaware stands in blatant opposition to the pro-family movement, many of you will remember him from his vociferous opposition to several of our finer Supreme Court justices, namely, Chief Justice John Roberts and Justices Alito and Thomas.

While in the Illinois Senate, Senator Obama voted for a bill authorizing "comprehensive" sex education beginning in kindergarten. Defenders have attempted to downplay its significance, citing the fact that it called for the content to be "age appropriate" and "medically accurate"--dubious and subjective qualifiers given the sensitive nature of the topic and innocence of the audience!

Congressional Democrats will also seek to pass the Employment Nondiscrimination Act, meaning businesses will be forced to accept and condone homosexuality--and possibly transgenderism--in making employment decisions. Further, business owners, including religious businesses, will not be able to make hiring and firing decisions based on their religious convictions. Earlier this year, Senator Barack Obama said, "I will place the weight of my administration behind the enactment of the Matthew Shepherd Act to outlaw hate crimes and a fully inclusive Employment Nondiscrimination Act."

Will Christians overlook our own moral standards to vote in a president who we think might have a better financial plan or better military tactics? Remember, the Lord blesses the nation whose people honor Him with lives of worship.

Himilice,
I never said Congrats on the new baby!! We are so happy for you and Nathan and Elon!! I hear what you are saying for the election, however, I will say Romans 13:1-5
"...The authorities that exist have been established by God." There is a reason God has that we can't understand, we only get the peephole. Our faith, trust and peace comes from God and him alone. We cannot find it in our government, just in the God that institutes it.

Anyhow, onto other news...we are expecting #5 and we are so excited! We just found out.

Talk with you soon.

No Way Katheryn! Congratulations! We are all three pregnant together! How fun! How far along are you? I know that if Obama does win the election, God is still in control and He has a plan for our nation-- although I am a bit nervous that it may have something to do with His judgement. I stayed up the other night so upset, I just couldn't quit thinking about all of those unborn babies. If God hear Abel's blood crying from the ground, I wonder what He hears from the millions of babies that are being aborted each year? I know that Obama didn't cause that to happen, but he sure isn't helping matters!

I completely understand where you are coming from, but unfortunately our country is so selfish and there are so many selfish people. There is judgement on our country. And you know, just like the people wanting a king and God gave them Saul, people are blaming President Bush for so many things that truly was just timing and not fault, they are willing to sacrifice all their minds for a change. Okay enough politics, more on babies...

We are so excited, we are about 4 1/2 weeks and with a cold. So it isn't too fun right now. I was just thinking of the cruise and how much fun that will be...all those little ones. Oh my. I hope you are feeling well.

How do you like your dr? That is one thing that I haven't been to happy with down here, loved mine up there though, but I am going to a midwifery this time and have a midwife.

Talk with you soon.

I am right there with you! I am feeling very anxious these last couple of days as the election creeps up. All I can say is pray, pray, pray!

We know God has a plan and we need to stand strong in our faith!

My doctor is ok. She's nice enough, but she seems like she might be kindof liberal and I was more hoping for a Christian doctor. But, well, you can't exactly ask that question on your first visit! I do like midwives too, they seem pretty nice. Are you delivering with the midwife in a hospital or at home?

Hope you are back to good health soon. Being sick and pregnant is just no fun at all. Will you be in time to take the baby on the cruise?

Part of me can't wait for this whole ordeal to just be OVER! Another part of me doesn't even want to go through with it...

I'm just so scared that Obama will get in, and as you said, maybe he's not murdering the babies personally, but he certainly is helping that agenda right along.

I even know of some CHRISTIAN people who are voting for him -- can you imagine? It's sad what our country is coming to... all the more reason to say, "Even so, Lord Jesus, come quickly."

Oh, and I meant to reply to your email -- no, don't worry, I wasn't offended. First, I never received your comment. But, second, now that I know what you had tried to write, it doesn't upset me at all. Actually, I think it was true; I was so stressed because I was trying hard to make a beautiful, memorable cake that my husband had requested, and those are the times that tend to end up a flop! :o) It's just life, I think. Um, and hope you don't still think I'm an email stalker, LOL! (maybe a blog stalker now, with as many novel-sized comments I leave you!)

Arlene, Nathan and I have decided that if Obama becomes pres, we are moving to New Zealand!
