Spending My Time, Spending My Money...

I'm here at Chic-fi-a, utilizing their free wi-fi while Elon plays in the toddler area. We had a coupon for a free chicken biscuit so I jumped on the opportunity to get out of the house (and indulge in one of their DEE-licious biscuits!) So I get to the register, coupon in hand and begin to place my order. Then it hits me, I have no money. Hmmmm, debit card? nope, lost it a month ago.... hmmm, credit cards, errr... took those out so I wouldn't use em. A rather embarrasing moment. So I order my one chicken biscuit for the two of us, politely explaining that I seem to have forgotten my debit card. I then march to the car, Elon, Asher and I, and begin ripping up carpets, checking trunks and under seats to try to find some money! I've also forgotten my diaper bag, but I did remember my computer bag, but it's empty and hasn't been used in about a year, no chance of finding money there. The car turns up empty, so I return empty handed to watch Elon devour "our" chicken biscuit. Maybe I'll just check my computer bag-- just in case. Squeeel! 40 dollars! Yippee! I am now happily savouring the crumbs from a very yummy chicken biscuit!

Another fortitous moment-- I forgot the diaper bag with Elon and Asher's extra clothing, but I did temember to grab a pair of swimming trunks for Elon, in case we went to the splash pad. Turns out Elon made a splash all on his own... yep, he peed his pants. Thank goodness for those extra swim trunks!

Wow! Finding 40 dollars? That's great! I'm glad your adventure turned out OK after all...and glad you were able to get something to eat. :)

I found $100 in my lab coat pocket when I was working- and yes, it was mine. I had walked down to the bank to cash/deposit my check, and forgot all about it 'till nearly 2 months later. I love finding money!
