Saturday night, Nathan and I decided to have a stay-at-home date night. We put the kids to bed early and grabbed food from my favorite, Chili's. (Nathan had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, I had the Triple Dipper with Southwest Eggrolls, !YUM-YUM! and we shared the bottomless chips and salsa. I LOVE their chips and salsa...) Anyhow, we lit some candles, curled up on the couch, and watched this movie from the "watch instantly" option on Netflix*:
This is the cutest movie and Nathan and I HIGHLY recommend it. I loved the female lead, Leslie Caron, and of course you can't go wrong with Cary Grant-- he is just a natural in any role. For dessert we indulged on homemade chocolate lava cake and sipped sparkling cider. It was so relaxing not having to worry about getting dressed-up to go to a noisy restaurant or having to wonder whether Asher was crying with the babysitter. We plan on having another at-home date night real soon!
* I included the trailer here; however, I recommend not watching it as it spoils quite a bit of the plot.

Mrs. Bonnie, are you telling me he reads the newspaper during the date or that you can't have a date b/c he is too busy reading the newspaper? My suggestion: hide it. hee-hee Isn't Father Goose a fun movie?!
Rowan, thanks for visiting. Yes you must give Father Goose a try. Initially, I stopped it after the first five minutes, but later when I got past that boring part, I loved it. The characters are so funny and the lines are quite witty.
