Two and a half years ago, I lost my job and suddenly our income was split almost in half. Today, I thought that over the next few days, I'd like to a few posts on some of the ways that Nathan and I (with God's help of course!) make living on a tight budget work. Here are a list of the topics I'll cover:
~ Groceries
Practical Saver
Price Matching
~ Entertainment
Red box
Net Flix
Date Nights
Club Sign-Ups
~ Clothing
Thrifting
Accessories
Sales
~ Bills
Vehicles
Utilities
Insurance
~ Hair and Makeup
Haircuts
Cosmetics
~ Decorating
Furnishing
Accessorizing
It's not that I think I have anything to teach, but it's always fun to learn how others make it all work. Minus our rent and giving we live off of about $900-$1200 a month. Check back tomorrow to see how.

Looking forward to it!
Sometimes I think I would be able to do better if we had less, though I am EXTREMELY thankful for B.'s job.
I can't wait to see this! We live on a budget too, although the last few months we've been so unorganized w/ the move it hasn't been watched carefully. I'll have to start again next month.
And, also, don't get too excited about our seeing our new place. It's just a rental house and it's fine and I love it but it's nothing fancy. 2 people can barely fit in the kitchen at the same time. The best part about it is we are right on the Long Island Sound so the views are amazing. I'll post some pics soon. And, your little boys are so adorable too. I love it when you post pics of them. And, I also love all of your posts, you are such a talented and creative writer and SO funny. You should be a journalist or something!
There you are. I have been checking in with you. Can't wait to glean some insight. I am thinking of revamping the blog, check it out and give me your input. Talk to you soon.
