What Became Of Our Little Princess...

After 4 months of caring for the Little Princess, she was removed from our home and placed in the temporary care of a more seasoned foster parent.  Unfortunately, there were some extreme behaviors that we were not able to overcome.  The effects of these behaviors on our children were so great that we could not continue providing care through the Princess's process of working through her issues.  After a particularly alarming incident, I called the emergency line to get help and they decided that they could not allow the Princess to remain in our home because of the threat it posed to my own children-- and I agreed.  Although I knew that without an immediate miracle her removal was inevitable, it was still difficult to come to terms with her loss.  No one was aware that this little girl had the issues that she did, so as first time foster parents we received a big suprise!  None-the-less, I know that God placed the Little Princess into our home for a season so that we could get some of His Word into her spirit.  And the Word does not return void-- Amen!

Our family has grown as a result of our time with the Little Princess; Nathan and I have become closer, I think, and I am more patient with my own children, realizing that their little misdeeds are usually just that-- little.  At this time, the Princess and her sister reside in a home without any other children.  She is constantly in my prayers.

You are an amazing family to minister to other kids this way. I had a little girl with special needs briefly in my home while her mother died of cancer a few years ago so I know a few of the special challenges it brings. You have a beautiful perspective about it all!

Thank you for your kind words, Laura. It was difficult, but so worth it. At first I really felt like a failure that I was unable to "help" this child. However, I realize that the seeds were planted and it is God that makes them grow. I will leave the seeds is His perfectly capable hands.

Sweet post Himilce. We will always have this little girl and her sister in our prayers. Yes, you are right, "His Word does not return void"

I probably would have felt like you did too, but as you said God had her in your home for a specific amount of time and a specific reason and thats what matters.

Thanks for letting us know!

.....and maybe the main reason God 'gave' her to you for a season was so that your prayers would follow her always.
Maybe only eternity will show you what your prayers meant in her life.
God bless you,
